1. Describe the New Finished Item
First, you must decide which category (major class code) the new piece will be in. This major class code must be set up before you use the Assembly & Disassembly feature. Near the top of the screen, in the box, where you are prompted for the SKU number of the new finished item, type in only the major class code.

Leave the last five digits blank because you will let the Jewelry Shopkeeper get the next available sku number. (You won’t see the new complete sku number until after you have typed in a description for the new finished item.) When you do this, the cursor will jump to the bottom of the screen to let you enter the description of the overall piece that you are creating. It will ask you for a style number, vendor and manufacturer codes, minor class code and description. You can type in whatever values you want. Since there is no outside vendor or manufacturer, you can either type INH (for IN House) or type the initials of your business name or the initials of the jeweler who created the finsihed item. Likewise, since you are the manufacturer of the item, you can enter any style number.
