Creating Excel (XLS) Versions of Reports
Several reports (including inventory and inventory by location and itemized sales reports) can automatically simultaneously create an XLS version of the report.

The XLS files are put in the VJS Reports folder on the Windows Desktop.
Note that VJS uses the same file name each time, so if you want to keep a copy of certain results, rename the file and put in a different folder before re-running the report in VJS.
If that file does not get created, check that the "Option to save reports to a file" in Preferences is set to "A".
The Excel output in terms of the columns and formating do not exactly match the printed-style report.
Often there are more columns, but certain "calculated" columns (based on the raw data) won't be there. However, you can add calculated columns with Excel formulas for almost any result.
