Printer Off-Line message with HP Printers

In many cases, adding this line:
MODE LPT1: RETRY=P
to your computer's C:\AUTOEXEC.BAT file will
prevent the Printer Off-Line message.
One way of editing the C:\AUTOEXEC.BAT file is to start
Shop-Pro and choose FILE, MISC, EDIT A FILE and type:
C:\AUTOEXEC.BAT
then add a blank line and in that blank line type:
MODE LPT1: RETRY=P
Then press Ctrl-W to exit and save your changes. The change
takes effect after you next restart the computer.
