COMPULINK 3300 Overland Avenue, Suite 201 § Los Angeles, California 90034 § 310 × 204 × 5121
Thank you for expressing interest in Compulinks jewelry software program, the Jewelry Shopkeeper.
The Jewelry Shopkeeper is the leading software program developed especially for jewelry retailers that may also have repair and custom jewelry shops. All of the unique and distinctive transactions that occur in a jewelry business have been incorporated into the Jewelry Shopkeeper. Overleaf you will find a summary of its capabilities.
In 1996 we are especially pleased to introduce the Jewelry Shopkeeper Version 7.5. While the superb overall design of the program has been preserved, Version 7.5 includes improvements suggested by hundreds of our clients; the Jewelry Shopkeeper is always improving. Version 7.5 is perfect even for those who previously thought there wasnt a program which could do everything they wanted.
We have available a demonstration diskette which will run on any IBM or IBM-compatible microcomputer with a hard disk drive. This demonstration will provide you with some examples of transactions as well as a good feel for how the Jewelry Shopkeeper works. If you dont presently have an IBM-compatible computer, you should take the diskette to a local computer dealer who will be glad to help with the demonstration.
The current single-user software price is $2295 (guaranteed through August 1996). This price includes all the features mentioned on the reverse of this letter plus phone support from Compulink to help you install and use the Jewelry Shopkeeper. The first six months of support and updates are included free. Payment schedules can be arranged and, of course, Compulink offers a 60-Day Money-Back Guarantee. The Jewelry Shopkeeper may also be used on a multi-user local-area-network for which there is an additional licensing fee.
There are other Jewelry software programs on the market, but only the Jewelry Shopkeeper clearly offers the best combination of power, ease of use, value, and above all, after-sale support. This explains why there are hundreds of satisfied Jewelry Shopkeeper users in every part of North America and even overseas. We will gladly furnish you with references from store owners in your area.
We have available for you a collection of sample reports that the program produces. Please call our office at (310) 204-5121 if you need to see the reports or more detailed information. Call if you want to discuss your particular software needs or if you simply want to order the Jewelry Shopkeeper and to start your 60-day evaluation period.

Computer Hardware Requirements
The Jewelry Shopkeeper software will work on any IBM-compatible PC with a hard disk, a monochrome or color monitor and a dot matrix printer. So, even if you have an old computer the chances are good that it will be enough to start with. However, if you do not have a computer, or you plan on buying a new one, we would recommend a more up-to-date computer such as one with the following specifications: The processor should be a Pentium-166 or higher; The hard drive should be 500MB or larger, the monitor should be color VGA and it should have 16-32MB of RAM. Prices are generally in the range of $1000 to $3000. A 24-pin dot-matrix printer costing about $200 is needed to print tags and can also be used for reports and receipts. More than one printer is optimum for the program and point-of sale printers and Hewlett Packard Laser printers are also supported. For best customer support from Compulink, we highly recommend you have a Hayes compatible 28,800 baud modem and PC Anywhere© modem software.
If you plan on point-of-sale use you probably need a network of computers (one or more for sales registers, one or more for accounting or inventory processing.) For point-of-sale, you will want fast computers, to speed the customers transactions, and you will need a Network Operating System such as Novell Netware 4.1 or Win 95. (Note that registers require actual computers, not just screens.)
