Next you can enter the certificate information in the following screen.

The customer name and address will appear, and the certificate number entered on the previous screen appears as the CERTIFICATE #.
Enter the following fields:
DESCRIPTION*} Type a description for the gift certificate. If you will be printing the certificate, this description will appear on the slip. Example: BIRTHDAY GIFT, or FOR MARY JACKSON, or FROM MARSHA BILLINGS TO JOE JACKSON, etc..
HAS THIS SLIP BEEN USED*} Type a <Y> if this slip has already been cashed in for a purchase, or leave the answer as <N> if the certificate is unused.
DATE USED*} If the slip has already been used, type the date it was used. If you are not certain of the exact date, type the approximate date. If the slip has not been used, leave this field blank, otherwise this slip will not be accepted as tender on the payments screen.
After the information above has been filled in, the cursor will move to the issue-date field. The current date will be displayed in this field. Press <Enter> to accept the date, or type another issue date.
Next, type the exact amount of the gift certificate. The amount will be spelled out for you on the line CREDIT SLIP OF EXACTLY ...DOLLARS...CENTS. Verify that the amount is correct. A message will appear at the bottom of the screen:
Do you want to Accept, Cancel, or Re-enter? <Esc>=Quit
If you will be printing this slip, check the amount again. Your store may be liable for the amount shown!
Press <A> to accept the information entered, <C> to cancel the payment, or <R> to re-type and correct any errors. Canceling will cause Jewelry Shopkeeper to disregard this gift certificate.
