Use options 1 through 7 to choose the events to print and the report format, then select Start Report to start printing the labels or the report.

For Customers*} To include a certain a range of customers, enter the beginning and ending customer names. For example, to include all customers whose last names begin with M, type M as the start of the range and MZZZ as the end of the range.

For Zip Codes*} To include customers with zip codes in a specific range, type the starting and ending zip codes. To select one zip code only, type the selected zip code as both the beginning and the end of the range.

For Which Customer Types*} Use this option to print labels for customers of a specified type only. You can type as many types as needed by choosing this option repeatedly. Note that you can choose to include or exclude the list of customer types you choose. To clear the list you have typed in, type XXX.

For Which Event Codes *} Use this option to run a report or print labels only for customers who have certain special event codes. You can type as many types as needed by choosing this option repeatedly. To clear the list you have typed in, type XXX.

For What Dates*} To include only those customers whose events you specify above that are in a certain date range, enter that range of dates here. Note that this only refers to the month and day, so if you enter 03/01 through 03/31, then the program would pick customers with events in March from any year. If you want to specify a certain year, see the below option.

For What Year*} If you want to include only those customers whose events you specify above that are in a certain year, type that year here. For example, if you only want to choose those customers with a golden anniversary, you could enter the year for fifty years ago.

Display, Print, Wide, Compressed or Mailing Labels *} The report can be displayed on the screen or printed on the printer. If the report will be printed, you can print on regular size paper or, if you have one, you could print on a wide-carriage printer that has room to print more detail. The wide report can also print the same detailed report on a standard-size printer by using small (compressed) characters. To change this selection, highlight the option and press <Enter>.

Instead of just printing reports of the sales items and the customers who purchased them, you can choose Mail Labels instead to directly print mailings labels for those customers who met the criteria above.

Choosing MERGE2.JS will not print labels, instead it will create a file called \MERGE2.JS (MERGE2.JS in the root directory). This file will contain the names and addresses and other customer information. If you know how to use your word processor’s mail merge features you can use this mail merge file to create customized letters and envelopes.

Start Report*} Choose this option to start the report according to your selections. The report will display on-screen or print on paper or labels, or send the names to a mail merge file depending on your selection above.

When the report has finished, the report screen will re-appear. You can return to step 2 to run another report, or press <0> to return to the previous menu.
