In the printer browse screen you can enter ‘Logical’ printer ports (LPT1, LPT2, LPT3) even if the computer doesn’t have a printer attached to it. The network software will intercept any attempt the print to those ports to the printer that you set up with the network software. The procedure to intercept (or Capture) print jobs and to send them to a network printer depends on the network you use — see your network manual.

Each workstation can include in the AUTOEXEC.BAT file, the statement SET JSP=C or SET JSP=A depending on the boot drive. This tells Jewelry Shopkeeper to save and use the Printer Redirection Defaults on this workstation independently of other workstations. This is useful when different workstations use different printer ports to print to the same printer.
