As shipped, the Jewelry Shopkeeper will correctly position the information on the jewelry tags. However, this screen is provided in case your printer doesn’t print the information in the right places.

Having to modify these positions is very unusual. The most common cause of incorrect tag printing is incorrect printer codes or selecting the wrong printer driver from the Printer Redirection option of the System Maintenance Menu.

The ‘Positions’ on this screen refer to the different printing areas of the tags. For most types of tag, each tag has two printing areas, left and right. Since the ring tags have three tags across, there are only six printing areas or ‘positions’, which is why positions 7–10 are blank. The Kassoy string tags have two tags across the width of the page so only four printing positions are used. The Arch Crown small gift tags have five tags across for a total of ten printing positions.

The numbers entered into these fields is the number of letters across the page for the location of that printing area.
