1. Select from the Menu

At the DOS prompt, type JS and press <Enter>. From the system menu, select option 1, Jewelry Shopkeeper.

With the next three steps, the system will automatically display the screen, and you do not have to choose these options from the menu.

2. Store Default Information

This section lets you customize the program to match your store’s needs. See the Store Information Defaults chapter in the System Maintenance section.

3. Set Colors

If you have a color monitor, you can change the colors that are used for screens and data entry. It is recommended that you accept the existing colors for now. Later, if you want to change the colors displayed, refer to the Store Information Defaults chapter in the System Maintenance section for more information.

Note that if you have a monochrome monitor, this option will not appear during setup.

4. Accounts Receivable Defaults

See the Store Information Defaults chapter in the System Maintenance section.

When you have completed this step, the menu will appear. If your system uses passwords, choose option 9, LOG IN to enter your password.

For the remaining steps in this chapter, you must select the option from the menu. When you refer to a chapter, the first step in the chapter will tell you which menu options to select.
