COMBINE

To create a combined set of data you should have a complete copy of the the local store's data available in one folder and *most* of the remote stores' data available in some other folders. - aranged like this

\COMPLINK.JS\LOCAL

\COMPLINK.JS\HILLDALE

\COMPLINK.JS\OLDVILLE

\COMPLINK.JS\EXTON

Then make sure that you have an empty folder like this

\COMPLINK.JS\COMBINED

Note that you have to empty the old one before re-combining.

Note that the local data is normally in the \complink.js\data.js folder

but you might find it safer to make a copy of that local data to the \complink.js\local folder  and work off that. This would also let you run the combine when the real local data folder is in use by others on the network.

Then you open a command prompt, select the \complink.js folder and type

COMBINE  LOCAL  HILLDALE  OLDVILLE  EXTON  COMBINED

The last word is the output folder the other parameters other than combine are the input folders which can be from two to seven in number.

place the local folder first

To keep the data transfer small you can transfer just the below list of files from the remote stores into the temporary 'remote' folders  used above.

* note that sales older than 11 months ago are not included in the merge.
