ATTRIB

AFTER RESTORING FILES FROM A CD

              -------------------------------

(or other cases where files are 'flagged read-only')

Files restored from a CD are often 'protected' with a

'Read-Only Attribute' which prevents files from being changed.

This prevents Shop-Pro from functioning because Shop-Pro must update

data files on the hard drive.

To fix it Open the black and white COMMAND MENU using the JS-MENU icon

(or type JS at a DOS prompt, or open a DOS prompt and switch to the

\COMPLINK.JS folder)

At the Enter Your Choice Prompt type

ATTRIB -R   /S      and press <Enter>

EXIT                         and press <Enter>

(You can also remove the read-only attribute from all files in the

COMPLINK.JS folder using the Windows Explorer, but the above method

is easier and faster)
